Bon Appétit's teaching kitchens break down barriers, foster connections, and prove that food ...

Bon Appétit's teaching kitchens break down barriers, foster connections, and prove that food education doesn't need to be intimidating. But, as with all Bon Appétit locations where no two are alike, each teaching kitchen program is geared to the specific needs of our clients and guests.
Why (and how) do our teams do it? Here are three key ideas that underpin this customized approach:
1️⃣ It's about bringing food literacy to life. We engage guests in active learning with curricula ranging from baking basics to fundamentals of fermenting. The goal? Giving them practical skills they can use in their daily lives.
2️⃣ One size actually doesn't fit all. All of our kitchens operate differently depending on available space, primary audience, and company culture. Here are some examples:
➡️ Our Genentech team has almost two decades of teaching kitchen experience, which started as small demos and grew into regularly occurring, diverse classes.
➡️ At @PennDining, their Quaker Kitchen demo space offers weekly culinary sessions and a high-end, open-kitchen style dinner experience for students.
3️⃣ We're providing value to our clients (and guests)! Teaching kitchens strengthen workplace culture, enhance employee and student satisfaction, and reinforce our commitment to a sustainable future.
